Description

Hindustan Inverter Duty Motors – HIDM are designed for applications where variable voltage and variable frequency (VVVF) inverter or VFD supply is used to achieve the required speed variation and energy savings.

These motors use a special insulation system with dual-coated Class H wires and special vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) to withstand the high switching pulses generated by VFD systems.

For operation at reduced speeds, the motors are fitted with separate cooling fans to maintain rated cooling. For frames 315 and above, insulated bearings at the non-drive end are suggested to protect against shaft currents that can affect bearing life.
